Summer Grows Cold

Trees.
Anyone that talks to me or follows me on Instagram
will know that I am dumfounded by the trees here.
I have never seen such colors!
Truly amazing :)

i must say, Oregon sure is beautiful.
As expected, i do miss seeing the sunset over the Ocean
on my way home from the lab,

but this commute to/from work makes up for it:
Taken bright and early from the OHSU Tram

  1. You like leaf-schanging, eh? Excellent: step one of the acclimatization process has begun. kilometer by kilometer, state by state, we shall push you ever Northward Monique. You won't even notice it happening, until one day you find yourself wondering why there are so many hosers aboot in toques and realize in horror....

  2. On the other hand, I note that you are such a California girl that you call the season we're in not "Fall" but A Summer that is Cold. I think I like your formulation better.

  3. Hahaha, Oh Mark, Canada would never have me!

And the title reveals my misunderstanding of these so called "seasons..." I only know variations of summer!

oh and a tribute to my love for Sylvia Plath:
    "Summer grows old, cold-blooded mother.
    The insects are scant, skinny.
In these palustral homes we only
    Croak and wither."
